Now I’m not going to say that the New York Times’ gentleman moron Ross Douthat was trying to subliminally pun on our African American president and the term “brownie;” but then again I’d scarcely concede anything about Ross Douthat beyond his obvious personal commitment to looking like the Butterscotch Ricky Gervais.
Anyway, I wonder which headline came first the front page version or the article version. One way it’s damage control, the other it’s a lame George Costanza-esque do-over. Then again, this could just be the sign of a very laggy CMS.
Whichever it is, the column is the opposite of essential reading.
